Ahlul Bayt News Agency - A former advisor to Bahrain’s Al-e Khalifa regime has said the regime seeks to guarantee its security by forced migration of Shiites.
Salah Al-Bandar, a former advisor to Bahrain’s Ministry of Shura Council, said that since a long time ago, the Al-e Khalifa regime sees its security in reducing the number of Shiites in the country, Al-Tawafuq website reported.
“The regime is planning to expel Shiites so that they will become the minority in Bahrain.” He also said that the ruling regime treats the Shiite population as second-class citizens.
According to Al-Bandar, the regime has given Bahraini citizenship to 15,000 Sunnis from Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, and Morocco.
“Fomenting religious discord and clashes and reducing the number of Shia officials as well as companies and charities are among the plots hatched by the Al-e Khalifa regime against the country’s Shiites,” he went on to say.”
